I have been looking in to getting an espresso/coffee machine and started to look in to Delonghi products.

Delonghi Espresso

If you desire a genuine Italian espresso or cappuccino, then you’ve got to go to Italy, or start with a genuine Italian espresso maker.
DeLonghi is probably the most well-known Italian maker of espresso machines to be used in the home and in my opinion one of the best.

The greatest tasting espresso makes use of freshly ground coffee beans and the DeLonghi Magnifica grinds the beans fresh for every cup of espresso.

Try to imagine just how great it would be to roll out of bed every morning, turn a dial, push a button, and in a matter of just a few minutes you are savoring a foamy milk-topped cappuccino

There are many models to choose from and very different price ranges going up to $3000 for some machines some are specifically just for espresso and some can do a mixture of cappuccinos,lattes,espressos etc and you get what you pay for.
The DeLonghi Espresso Maker has a patented dual-function filter holder for use with ground espresso,
The water reservoir is a good size, you can make about 8-10 shots before you need to refill it, which is very easy to do, and there is a clear section behind the basket which shows the water level.
Fast heat-up time (only about a minute), good frothing wand, no wait time between frothing and brewing (though you do have to wait a little between brewing and frothing.

I was always skeptical of expensive espresso machines and wondered why anyone would pay hundreds of dollars for an expensive machine.
I’ve made some excellent espresso, latte and iced caramel macchiato with this and now realise that it saves me a lot of money, i used to pop in to star bucks every morning before work
To grab an espresso now i can if in in my own kitchen.

Negatives:

>The spill container fills up rather quickly for my taste.

>Frothing wand is only 3 1/4 inches from the counter top. Not a big deal, I just went and bought a frothing cup that is about that height.

>You will end up drinking more espresso than you mean to, it’s that good!
